Lovecraft Readings on Youtube

I've posted a few more of my H.P. Lovecraft readings onto Youtube because I saw some new pics yesterday from the new movie version of The Colour out of Space and it made me wonder how many views I'd had on my Youtube video of my reading I did back in 2015.

I went to check, and discovered I had none - because I'd never posted it! In fact, I hadn't posted a whole load of my HPL readings, so I set about changing that straight away by posting The Colour out of Space (my personal favourite HPL story), and today I followed it up with The Rats in the Walls.

I'll post the others over time, and when I do more readings, I'll do likewise. I'm not sure if putting them on Youtube is actually beneficial, but if nothing else, it's more interesting than my home videos of people singing on a bus or a train going through a tunnel ... unless you're me, of course ;-)

Just a quick note to let you know that Herbert West: Reanimator (full text) and Azathoth by H.P. Lovecraft have entered the Vault of Lovecraft (that's the new podcast with all the readings I've done since 2007 in it, just in case you missed my previous blog entry).

Cthulhu suggests in the politest possible manner that you share news of the Vault with any of your Lovecraft-loving chums. Link to it on Facebook, Twitter, What'sApp or whatever other social media device you use. Otherwise mankind will be destroyed ... he says.

In this episode I also talk about my forthcoming public appearance at the Wexworlds Festival in Wexford, Ireland on Saturday May 7th. Underground - Episode 6

It's also my penultimate day in the UK. We're currently packing the last boxes and getting ready for the big move to Ireland tomorrow. I'm worried we may not have enough cardboard boxes. The Colour out of Space by H.P. Lovecraft: Episode One

Hello there. I've been in Ireland this week visiting friends and family. I had a very nice time - so much so I managed to break my glasses. Not quite sure how it happened, but my suspicions rest on the pet of one of the families we visited; a dog who enjoys chewing stuff - shoes and glasses being among his favourite snacks. Since I couldn't interrogate him sensibly, I gave the suspect hound a hard stare, but he remained inscrutable, giving only the odd woof, and licking my face cheerfully (perhaps wondering where the specs had gone?). 

But then again, there was wine going around, so maybe I sat on them. It's a mystery.

Anyway, upon my return to England, I superglued the specs together long enough for me to record the first episode of H.P. Lovecraft's The Colour out of Space, then they blew apart under the pressure of all the cosmic horror. If you don't know the story, trust me, it's a cracker; a little slow to get rolling, but definitely one of HPL's best.
