Author, Ken Scott, has just published a great piece on his recent discovery of my work. It's a big deal for me when another author digs any of my books, and Ken is not only a very prolific writer (he's written or collaborated on 25 books, several of which have reached the Sunday Times Top Ten Bestseller List) but he's also a professional writing coach. Pretty cool eh?

Wedding Bus Ride

I was recently over at a wedding in England. As part of the day's celebrations was a ride on an open topped bus, which was very enjoyable ... even the low flying branches.

Trellis

This afternoon I've been out in the garden putting up a trellis. I don't enjoy DIY (hence the angry face), especially anything involving drills, hammers, nails ... which pretty much covers the whole DIY spectrum. 

Anyway, after a bit of a struggle I managed to fix the swine to the wall, and it's pretty solid, I'm happy to say. Look at me there in picture two, all delighted with myself.

Now all I need is a few plants to grow on it. That'll be picture 3 ... I'll get back to you in a few months with that.

I'm returning to free podcasting with the first chapter of Bram Stoker's Dracula. I've been reading it at Patreon for a while where I'm now up to Chapter Ten.

Doh! Once again I have let my blog / website slide, and I realise that news of no less than seven episodes of Underwood and Flinch Underground haven't been posted here. Sorry about that, I guess it's the commentless world of Blogger that makes me forget this is - potentially - a thing people look at. Anyway, I'm renewing my pledge to start posting again. I'm going to start treating this like the blog it is and start posting stuff about what goes on in my life, no matter how pedestrian or unremarkable it may be. But that's all to look forward to. For now, it's enough to say that Underwood and Flinch Underground Episode 30 went live this evening at Patreon ($3 a month) and I think it's one you'll really enjoy.

And in blog news, I had a pasta-pesto meal for dinner, which was very nice. And my freezer has a lot of frozen comfrey in it, which I use on my fractured finger. The finger is most likely healed by now, but it's still got a very swollen knuckle that the comfrey seems to be bringing down ... or maybe it's just time doing the mending without help, I don't know. But I like to think the comfrey is playing a part.
